We've lowered some of our fees
This blog post is to update our customers about changes in price and is not a marketing communication. We regularly review our fees to reflect the real cost...
We have some excellent news to share: we’ve received our second licence from the Central Bank of Brazil, this time as a payment institution. Until now, we have operated with a foreign exchange broker licence, which allowed us to offer the Wise account, where you can receive, hold, and send money in over 40 currencies to 160 countries.
With the new license, we’ll be able to expand our product offerings in Brazil and include new solutions such as individual Pix keys, local bank details, and QR code payments.
This is because the new license allows Wise to connect directly to the Brazilian Payment System (SPB), removing intermediaries and making the process even more transparent for our customers.
These products are already available in other markets, like the UK and the US, and now, we can speed up preparations to bring them to the Brazilian market.
At this special moment, we want to thank the more than 2 million Brazilians who already use our green card in Brazil. It’s you, using our card for your international travel and transactions, who motivate us to continue improving and offering an even more complete international account. Thank you!
