Wise Partner Program – Your Onboarding Guide

Getting your tracking link

To track all the new customer referrals you send to Wise, it’s important that you use your tracking link. Without implementing your tracking link, we will not be able to track the referrals you drive to us and as a result you will miss out on referral commission.

Your standard tracking link automatically directs all customers to your unique referral landing page.

To get your link, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Wise account
  2. Press ‘Earn’ in the top right navigation
  3. Your link will be there
  4. You can copy the link or press share Wise

Understanding tracking and commissions

Conversion window

We track each user that is referred to Wise if they click via your unique tracking link. We pay commission out on any user who is:

  • A new customer to Wise who makes a successful cross currency transfer that is equal to your program qualifying amount
  • In some programs, your referral can also qualify if they spend the qualifying amount on their Wise card
  • A cross currency action can be send money or a top up with conversion
  • There is a conversion/cookie window limit of 30 days. So if a customer visited Wise and did not convert until 20 days later, you would still be rewarded commission for that referral.

Commission rates

Our standard affiliate commission is a CPA (cost per acquisition) for any new paying customer you refer to Wise. They need to make a cross-currency transaction equalling or exceeding the the qualifying amount for you to receive commission.

We review every partnership after 6 months and there is scope to review your commission rate once you hit conversion milestones or if you drive a high number of users who transact more than an average customer.

What do I receive commission for?

With your tracking link you can receive commission if your referred customers use any of the below Wise products:

  1. Money transfers – you receive commission once the user sets up and funds an international bank to bank transfer
  2. Multi-currency account actions – if the user tops up their account directly with a cross-currency conversion, you will receive a commission. Manual conversion between currencies does not qualify.
  3. Debit card use – when a user spends the qualifying amount on their Wise card.

What counts as a qualifying transaction?

  1. Each referral needs to transfer and/or spend at least the qualification amount on a Wise card.
  2. Spending with the card can be in any currency. Transfers need to be cross-currency.
  3. For example, a guest could make a 100 GBP > 100 GBP card payment and a 100 GBP > 120 EUR transfer.
  4. This total can be reached over multiple transactions.
  5. What payments do not qualify:
    1. Same currency transfers — such as from EUR to EUR
    2. Converting between different Wise accounts
    3. Sending a transfer for less than the amount we show on your invite page
    4. Cash, or cash-like transactions, including ATM withdrawals, cashback, and purchases of gift vouchers
    5. Card transactions for gambling, including bookmakers and casinos
    6. Card payments to financial institutions, governmental bodies, or tax authorities
    7. Card payments connected to commodities, investments, savings. or crypto assets

Getting paid

Your referral commission will be listed as Referral rewards within your Wise app.

Referral Commissions (CPA)

You’ll receive a £10 referral fee for each guest who signs up via your link and makes a cross-currency transaction exceeding your program's qualifying amount.

After we’ve confirmed a qualifying transaction, we’ll send you an email notification to claim your reward and show it was a Task on the home page of your personal profile.

We’ll add the reward to your GBP on your Wise account within 5 working days of claiming the commission if your account is eligible. You can convert your commission to any available currency.


Analytics and reporting

Within the Wise app, if you go to the Tracking page you can track your referrals. We are continuously developing this page to ensure you can see a breakdown.

Every month, we will send you a monthly performance report detailing how many referrals you made in that month and how much you earned.

Program rules and policies

We welcome all partners onto our program and you can use the Affiliate Terms & Conditions to guide your promotional activity.

You will find the full list of rules on our Partner Guidelines page, but here are some highlights:

  • Partners will need to sign up to Wise and use the referral link in-app if they intend to promote Wise through social media channels, SEO forums or for commercial purposes. They must email us at partnerwise@wise.com with their email address so that we can move them on to the correct partner program
  • We work with most partners, but have a few exceptions which include sub-affiliate networks and coupon/voucher code sites.
  • Partners can promote Wise to customers all over the world (please check our website to see which products are available in different countries)
  • Partners cannot bid on Wise brand terms or misspellings on paid search ads. You also cannot automatically redirect users from paid search activity straight through to Wise website. Customer must land on your affiliate site first before clicking through
  • We may, in certain circumstances, reverse commissions or earnings in accordance with our Affiliate Program Terms.

Promote Wise

Wise is so much more than money transfers and we want to help our partners find the best ways to promote any relevant part of our product.

This is why we send quarterly newsletters and alert our partners whenever there are new product or currency launches. This often comes with useful material and commission increases so don’t forget to add our email partnerwise@wise.com to your contact to avoid missing out on updates.

How can I promote Wise?

According to our Partner Program Guidelines, you can promote Wise:

  • By including Wise in your other YouTube videos, Instagram reels or on social media communities
  • If you have a company, you can also recommend Wise to your customers and employees.
  • If you accept bank transfers as part of your payment flow – feel free to recommend your customers to use Wise to pay you so they save on international fees (include your partner link, so you get paid when they do that!).
  • As we have a one-year cookie window limit, once a user has clicked on your tracking link, you will receive commission whenever they convert during this period.
