Your Wise account has a new look

We’ve updated the design of your account to make it easier for you to see and manage your money.

Here’s a quick guide to what’s different.

What's new?

We've made a few improvements:

  • A main account for your main currencies — we’ve grouped your everyday currencies into one main account (previously known as the Main Group on Business accounts).

  • A streamlined view — we’ve made it easier to see all your main account currencies, jars, and groups on your Home screen, and move money between them.

  • Multi-currency jars — you can now add more than one currency to a jar.

  • More control over jars for businesses — you can now control which jars your team members have access to.

Why did we make these changes?

You told us some things about the account weren't as clear as they could be. Based on your feedback, we've made it simpler to see where your money is and how you can use it with your cards.

How do my main account, jars, and groups work?

They’re all part of your one Wise account — they have a new spot on the Home screen so they’re easier to view.

  • Your main account is where you hold your money to send, spend with your card, and receive payments with your account details

  • Jars and groups are for separating money away from your main account. You can use jars to set money aside for a goal or purpose, and use groups for spending money with others

How do I open a new jar or group?

From the Home screen, find and select the Do more with your money option. You'll see what’s available for your account.

Depending on where your account is registered, the options include:

  • Set money aside — open a jar

  • Spend with others — create a shared group (only for consumer accounts)

  • Get a card for a child — only for consumer accounts

  • Create a separate fund to send and spend from — create a group (only for Wise Business accounts)

Where are my account details to receive money?

Select a currency in your main account. You’ll see the account details for that currency at the top of the screen.

How do I move or remove a currency from my main account?

To remove a currency:

  1. Select the currency you want to remove

  2. Go on the three dots in the top corner

  3. Choose Remove currency

If you have money there, you'll need to move or send it out of that currency first. You can also move your money into a jar or group — just select the currency you want to move, and choose Convert or move.

Removing a currency will cancel any Direct Debits and stop the account details for that currency from working.

What about my money held as Interest or Stocks?

When you open your main account, jar, or group, you’ll see whether the money is held as cash, Interest, or Stocks next to each currency. To see your returns, select any currency held as Interest or Stocks.

Can I go back to the old design?

This change is here to stay, so it's not possible to switch back. Everything still works the same — you can still send, spend, and receive money as you did before.

But if something doesn’t look right, get in touch with our team.

Have the customer agreements changed as well?

We’ve updated our customer agreements to reflect the new terminology we’re using. That means we’re now using the term ‘main account’ in some of the agreements, and have replaced the term ‘balance’ with ‘currency’ in some places. Check your regional agreement to see which terms we use.

We’ve also updated the agreements to reflect that you can now have multiple currencies in a jar.
