This statement applies to content published on the https://wise.com/ Website, Mobile Website, and all relevant subdomains.

This statement only partially applies to the Wise Mobile App, please refer to the ‘Non-accessible content’ section below for more detail.

For the avoidance of doubt, any reference to the term ‘Website’ in this statement shall be construed as including both the mobile and desktop version of the Wise Website.

This Website and the Wise Mobile App are managed by Wise Payments Limited on behalf of all regulated Wise entities, and they are designed to be used by as many people as possible, including persons with disabilities.

Across both, you should be able to:

  • zoom up to 200% without problems

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings

Additionally, on the Website, you should also be able to:

  • navigate using just a keyboard

  • navigate most of the Website using a modern screen reader and speech recognition software (when you are accessing the Website both on your computer and phone)

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

The Wise Website is designed to be compatible with the following most used assistive technologies:

  • the latest version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari browsers;

  • in combination with the latest versions of NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack.

Technical specifications

The accessibility of the Wise.com Website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML

  • WAI-ARIA

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

Non-accessible content

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of the Wise Website and Mobile App, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to fix. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.

Known limitations of the Wise Mobile App:

The Wise Mobile App is yet to be tested and uplifted in line with the relevant accessibility standards, therefore, if you are looking to use accessibility software, we would recommend to use either the desktop or mobile version of the Website.

Known limitations for the Wise Website:

  1. ‘Batch Transfer Page’ – keyboard accessibility: We are aware of some issues with the keyboard accessibility of our ‘Batch Transfer page’ whereby if shortcut keys and accesskeys are present, some may conflict with existing browser and screen reader shortcuts, and some functionality based on custom gestures may not be available when a screen reader is turned on.

  2. Labels: Our ‘Verification Requirements’ and ‘How much do you want to convert?’ pages contain interactive elements (such as a link, button, or form input) whereby the accessible name does not contain the visible label, or the label is not programmatically associated with the element. As a consequence,  people who use speech input to navigate and operate content will not be able to access the element.

  3. Name, Role, Value: we are aware that the name, role, state, and value of some of our interface components are not programmatically set up. As a result, individuals using assistive technology may not be able to understand the name, purpose, or content of the element or how to interact with it.

  4. Identify Input Purpose: ‘Verification requirements’ page -  The programmatic purpose provided for input elements on this page is not accurate, so information automatically suggested by the browser or assistive technology to fill in the input will be incorrect.

  5. Resize Text: ‘Create a scheduled or recurring transfer’ modal - Content does not scale correctly when the page is zoomed to 200%, so people who have low vision and need to enlarge text to read it may not have access to this modal.

  6. Status Message: ‘Can I send exact amounts?’ page - A status message is not automatically announced by the screen reader, so people who are blind and/or use a screen reader or other assistive technology may completely miss the status message or they may not hear it in a timely fashion.

  7. Reflow: ‘What kind of account would you like to open today?’ page - Some of the content overlaps other content at 320px width equivalent, meaning some content is lost, or unreadable for certain users.

  8. Heading Hierarchy: Some headings do not follow the correct heading hierarchy, which can cause problems for screen reader users.

  9. Page title: ‘Two-Factor Authentication’ - The page's programmatic title does not identify the purpose of the page, so people who use a screen reader will not know the purpose of the page without reading its content.

  10. Focus issue: We are aware that on some of our pages (‘Email us’, ‘Your Complaint’, ‘Balance’), when a modal closes, keyboard focus is not returned to the control that opened the modal or to another logical location, so people who use the keyboard to navigate content (including screen reader users) may become disoriented on the page.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are working across all the relevant Wise departments to fix Website content that does not meet the WCAG 2.1 AA level of compliance, as well as uplifting the Wise Mobile App to bring in compliance with the technical standard for Websites and Mobile Apps, EN 301 549 v.3.2.1.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 5th June 2025.

The statement is based on a review of all web pages within the Wise Website as a result of a WCAG external audit, which used a combination of manual and automated testing.

Compliance status

Wise Website

This Website is partially compliant with technical standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. See ‘Non-accessible content’ for more details.

The Website was last tested on 03/03/2025.

Wise Mobile App

While the Wise Mobile App includes a number of accessibility features (as listed above), it is currently being uplifted to ensure it meets the requirements of the  technical standard for Websites and Mobile Apps, EN 301 549 v.3.2.1.
