First you need to connect your Wise account with Xero — it allows you to sync your transactions and manage your finances in one place. Once the accounts are connected, head to your Connection settings and make sure the Bank feeds feature is turned on.
From the same page, choose which currencies you want to sync automatically. You can only sync a Wise account currency to a Xero bank account in the same currency.
Wise transactions from the selected curencies will appear in your corresponding Xero bank accounts, but only if the currency matches. Make sure that your Xero account is correctly mapped with the relevant currencies in your Wise account.
Once you’re connected, Wise will automatically sync all new transactions starting from the day of the connection, every 4 hours.
How do I import my previous Wise transactions to Xero
To start the sync sooner, go to Sync options and status from your Connection settings and select Sync now. On the same page you can choose an earlier start date, up to 1 year before you were connected.
If you want to sync transactions that date further back than one year, you can manually upload your older Wise statements. Download a statement in PDF or CSV format for every currency you have activated or hold in your Wise account, then follow these instructions to import statements to Xero and how to reconcile your accounts.
How do I sync more than one currency
If you want to sync more than one currency, you need to have a multicurrency plan with Xero.
